The Dexeus Mujer Foundation offers a wide range of training courses aimed at all professionals interested in expanding their knowledge in the field of women’s health, which can be consulted online via the Dexeus Campus platform.
The oldest school in Spain
The Dexeus School of Obstetrics and Gynaecology is the oldest in its field in Spain. The Dexeus School of Obstetrics and Gynaecology is the oldest school of its kind in Spain. It was founded in the 1930s by Dr Santiago Dexeus Font, a gynaecologist who sought excellence in healthcare and wanted to transform a medical specialty that was then in its infancy. Since then, professionals from all over the world have trained at our centre.
Teaching Committee
To continue the work of the Dexeus School, the Teaching Committee was created, which, through the Dexeus Mujer Foundation, is responsible for promoting, organising and evaluating the training provided by the Department of Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Reproduction at the Hospital Universitari Dexeus.
Its functions include the organisation of the following academic programmes:
- Specialised Training (MIR) for residents in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
- Postgraduate training:
- Master's Degree in Reproductive Biology and Postgraduate Degree in Assisted Human Reproduction Techniques.
- Online, face-to-face, hands-on courses, workshops and webinars: courses aimed at continuing education and/or specialisation.
- Rotations: for the training of residents and Master's students from other teaching units or universities.
- Training stays: aimed at external physicians who wish to stay in our department for refresher training and/or specialisation.
- Undergraduate teaching: hosting undergraduate university students.
- Continuing education for internal professionals.
We are a Teaching Unit accredited by the Ministry of Health
The Hospital’s Department of Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Reproduction has been accredited by the Ministry of Health as a Teaching Unit of the Dexeus University Hospital to provide training to resident doctors (MIR). Since then, we have trained more than 200 doctors specialising in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
Dexeus Campus: online platform
Dexeus campus is the online platform of the Department of Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Reproduction at Dexeus Mujer – Hospital Universitari Dexeus. It is aimed at professionals specialising in any field related to women’s health who wish to expand, update or perfect their knowledge.
It includes all the academic programmes and training courses offered by the Dexeu Mujer Foundation: MIR residency, Master’s and Postgraduate degrees in Reproductive Biology and Assisted Reproduction Techniques, online and face-to-face training courses and hands-on courses, opportunities to attend (rotations) the different services of our department and scientific information on scientific meetings and conferences organised by our department, such as the International Dexeus Congress.
Online courses and training are monitored through our virtual classroom.
Dexeus Alumni, a historical legacy
Dexeus Alumni currently brings together more than 500 people who make up the group of professionals who have trained or work in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Reproduction at Dexeus Mujer.
Its aim is to preserve the historical legacy and foster human and professional relationships among the members of this group, with a view to facilitating collaboration and networking.
