Professor Grigoris F Grimbizis is currently the Director of the 1st Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of Aristotle’s University School of Medicine. He received his Medical Degree in 1984 and graduated as an Obstetrician Gynaecologist in 1993 at the Aristotle’s University of Thessaloniki School of Medicine in Greece. He finished his PhD at the same University in 1996.
He is currently Chair of the ESGE Board of Directors since 2021. He was the Coordinator of the ESGE Guidelines for the years 2010-2018, ESGE Executive Board Member for the years 2015-2018, ESGE President for the years 2018-2020. He was member of the ESHRE Executive Committee for the years 2013-2017, elected member of the ESHRE Committee of National Representatives between 2010-2014 and Deputy Coordinator of the SIG Reproductive Surgery for the years 2011-2015.
His clinical and research interests included gynaecological endoscopy and reproductive medicine. He has published more than 190 papers in international peer-reviewed journals having currently in scopus ~6700 citations and an h-index of 41. He contributed as co-author to chapters in 22 books. He was the editor of a book on “Female genital tract congenital malformations”. He partcipated in many International Working Groups of ESHRE and ESGE focused on Congenital Uterine Anomalies (Coordinator of the CONUTA group), hysterocopy, ceasarian scar disorder, endometriosis and adenomyosis.
