Research leadership
2013- I established my own interdisciplinary research group to understand the underlying biology of re-productive & women’s health & disease to provide diagnostics, prognostics, and treatments. The strategy has been successful as we have established infrastructure for high-impact research and innovation. We attract international talent (>100 applications for positions), I was awarded the first clinical Biostudio project from BII, we are the first clinical users at the AI Supercomputer Gefion analyzing our almost 1PB of data, I have been awarded 4 BRIDGE fellows and we have 2 TUH Associate Professors in the group.

1. Ongoing RCTs: HCQ/Placebo for RPL, DYSCOVER vaginal microbiome transplantations
2. BII Faculty Project Early diagnosis of Pregnancy loss (PL). Total of 1,500 whole genome sequenced PL trios (fetus, father, mother), detailed biobank and database. Goal: PL diagnostic tool
3. Thematic non-diabetic endocrinology grant SURVIVE. Increase collection of the above to 3,000 PL trios to understand the endocrinology behind PL
4. Pathophysiology of RPL – disease trajectories (Danish registries) and the Danish RPL unit
5. Microbiota in Reproduction. Total of 35,000 microbiota samples collaboration with Center for Transla-tional Microbiome Research at Karolinska Institute
6. SARS-CoV-2 in Pregnancy and Childbirth (n=5,244)
