Social programmes
In addition to its cancer patient care programmes, the Dexeus Mujer Foundation devotes special attention to different groups that find themselves in vulnerable situations.
Medical care for those in need
The social programmes offered by the Foundation are aimed at women who have difficulty accessing gynaecological care, either because they lack the necessary financial resources, do not know where to go, or do not have access to medical services that can provide them with the care they need. This is the case in some rural areas of African countries, where the number of specialists is lower than the demand for healthcare among the population, or where clinics are located many kilometres away. women living in our country who have been victims of female genital mutilation during their childhood in their countries of origin and do not have access to services and specialists who can perform genital reconstruction surgery; and women with physical disabilities who require equipment adapted to their needs in order to receive gynaecological care.
